وأكدت من جديد أيضا حق الأسر في معرفة مصير أقاربها المعتبرين في عداد المفقودين فيما يتصل بالنزاعات المسلحة، وواجب كل طرف من أطراف النزاع المسلح أن يقوم، حالما تسمح الظروف بذلك، واعتبارا من انتهاء أعمال القتال الفعلية على أكثر تقدير، بالبحث عن الأشخاص الذين يعتبرهم أحد الأطراف المتخاصمة في عداد المفقودين.
