The National Strategy on Migration, approved by the Government of Romania on 11 March 2004, included measures to prevent the violation of the human rights of migrants while in transit and on the promotion and protection of the human rights of the families of migrant workers.

(ج) يطلب إلى الدول أن تعتمد تدابير ملموسة من أجل الحيلولة دون انتهاك حقوق الإنسان للمهاجرين أثناء العبور، بما في ذلك في المواني والمطارات والحدود ونقاط التفتيش التابعة لسلطات الهجرة، وأن تدرِّب الموظفين العموميين الذين يعملون في تلك المرافق وفي مناطق الحدود على معاملة المهاجرين وأسرهم باحترام ووفقاً للقانون؛

In paragraph 4 (c) of the resolution, the Assembly also requested States to adopt concrete measures to prevent the violation of the human rights of migrants while in transit, including at ports and airports and at borders and migration checkpoints, and train public officials working in those facilities and in border areas to treat migrants respectfully and in accordance with the law.
