1. Decides that the restructured Global Environment Facility shall be an entity entrusted with the operation of the financial mechanism referred to in Article 11 of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change;
١- يقرر أن يكون مرفق البيئة العالمية المُعاد تشكيله كياناً مكلفاً بتشغيل اﻵلية المالية المشار إليها في المادة ١١ من اتفاقية اﻷمم المتحدة اﻹطارية بشأن تغير المناخ؛

As a result of the action taken on these three issues, it has been decided that the restructured Global Environment Facility will continue, on an interim basis, to be the international entity entrusted with the operation of the financial mechanism referred to in article 11 of the Convention, under the guidance provided by the Conference of the Parties on policies, programme priorities and eligibility criteria.
ونتيجة لﻹجراء الذي اتخذ بشأن هذه المسائل الثلاث، فقد تقرر اﻹبقاء على مرفق البيئة العالمية المعاد تشكيله، وذلك على أساس مؤقت، باعتباره الكيان الدولي الموكل إليه تشغيل اﻵلية المالية المشار إليها في المادة ١١ من الاتفاقية، بتوجيه من مؤتمر اﻷطراف بشأن السياسات واﻷولويات البرنامجية ومعايير اﻷهلية.

29. The Conference of the Parties further decided that the restructured Global Environment Facility (GEF) should continue, on an interim basis, to be the international entity entrusted with the operation of the financial mechanism referred to in article 11 of the Convention.
٢٩ - وقرر مؤتمر اﻷطراف أيضا أن يظل مرفق البيئة العالمية المعاد تشكيله الكيان الدولي المكلف بتشغيل اﻵلية المالية المشار إليها في المادة ١١ من الاتفاقية، وذلك بصفة مؤقتة.

١ - يقرر أن يظل مرفق البيئة العالمية المعاد تشكيله الكيان الدولي المكلف بتشغيل اﻵلية المالية المشار إليها في المادة ١١ من الاتفاقية، وذلك بصفة مؤقتة؛

55. As provided in Decision 9/CP.1 of the first session of the Conference of the Parties, the GEF was requested to continue, on an interim basis, as the international entity entrusted with the operation of the financial mechanism referred to in Article 11 of the Convention.
٥٥- وكما يقضي المقرر ٩/م أ - ١ للدورة اﻷولى لمؤتمر اﻷطراف، طُلب إلى مرفق البيئة العالمية أن يظل هو الكيان الدولي المكلف بتشغيل اﻵلية المالية المشار إليها في المادة ١١ من الاتفاقية وذلك بصفة مؤقتة.

Article 21.3 provides that " the Global Environment Facility of the United Nations Development Programme, the United Nations Environment Programme and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development shall be the international entity entrusted with the operation of the financial mechanism referred to in Article 11 on an interim basis.
وتنص المادة ١٢-٣ على ما يلي " يكون مرفق البيئة العالمية التابع لكل من برنامج اﻷمم المتحدة اﻹنمائي وبرنامج اﻷمم المتحدة للبيئة والبنك الدولي لﻹنشاء والتعمير، الكيان الدولي الذي يعهد إليه بتشغيل اﻵلية المالية المشار إليها في المادة ١١ بصورة مؤقتة.

As requested by decision 11/CP.2 of the COP, the SBI, at its fifth session, began to undertake the review process of the financial mechanism referred to in decision 9/CP.1 on the basis of guidelines contained in document FCCC/SBI/1997/6 paragraphs 27-28 with a view to report on the outcome to COP 3.
٣٢- تنفيذا لما طلبه المقرر ١١/م أ-٢ لمؤتمر اﻷطراف، بدأت الهيئة الفرعية للتنفيذ في دورتها الخامسة الاضطلاع بعملية استعراض اﻵلية المالية المشار إليها في المقرر ٩/م أ-١ على أساس المبادئ التوجيهية الواردة في الفقرتين ٧٢ و٨٢ من الوثيقة FCCC/SBI/1997/6 بغية تقديم تقرير عن نتيجة ذلك الاستعراض إلى مؤتمر اﻷطراف في دورته الثالثة.

The SBI, at its fifth session, acting upon a request by the COP at its second session (decision 11/CP.2), began to undertake the review process of the financial mechanism referred to in decision 9/CP.1 on the basis of guidelines contained in document FCCC/SBI/1997/6, paragraph 20, and with a view to reporting on the outcome to the COP at its third session.
٤٢- تنفيذاً لما طلبه مؤتمر اﻷطراف في دورته الثانية )المقرر ١١/م أ-٢(، بدأت الهيئة الفرعية للتنفيذ، في دورتها الخامسة، في الاضطلاع بعملية استعراض اﻵلية المالية المشار إليها في المقرر ٩/م أ-١ على أساس المبادئ التوجيهية الواردة في الفقرة ٠٢ من الوثيقة (FCCC/SBI/1997/6)، بغية تقديم تقرير عن نتيجة ذلك الاستعراض إلى مؤتمر اﻷطراف في دورته الثالثة.
