Ms. Li Sangu (China), after stating that the fight against new forms of racism was the major task on the promotion and protection of human rights, informed the Committee of her delegation’s comments with regard to the World Conference against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance, which was to be held in 2001.
١٢ - السيدة لي سانغو )الصين(: ذكرت أن مكافحة اﻷشكال الجديدة للعنصرية هي المهمة اﻷساسية بالنسبة لتعزيز وحماية حقوق اﻹنسان، وأحاطت اللجنة علما بتعليقات وفدها فيما يتعلق بالمؤتمر العالمي لمكافحة العنصرية والتمييز العنصري وكراهية اﻷجانب وما يتصل بذلك من تعصب، الذي سيعقد في سنة ٢٠٠١.

The Plan of Action for the Third Decade to Combat Racism and Racial Discrimination should make it possible to combat new forms of racism and racial discrimination, and the Plan of Action for the United Nations Decade for Human Rights Education should be used to mobilize non-governmental organizations to promote values of tolerance, brotherhood, understanding and respect for the diversity of cultures and views, particularly among young people.
وأضاف أن خطة عمل العقد الثالث لمكافحة العنصرية والتمييز العنصري ينبغي أن تتيح مكافحة اﻷشكال الجديدة للعنصرية والتمييز العنصري كما ينبغي استخدام خطة عمل عقد اﻷمم المتحدة للتعريف بحقوق اﻹنسان في تعبئة المنظمات غير الحكومية من أجل تعزيز قيم التسامح واﻹخاء والتفاهم واحترام تنوع الثقافات ووجهات النظر، ولاسيما بين الشباب.
