Notwithstanding the sentiment expressed above, the discussions on the nature and structure of the continued presence of the United Nations following the withdrawal of MINURCA on 15 February 2000 were frank and fruitful.

2. The formal establishment of MINURCA was accompanied by a transfer of authority on 15 April 1998 of MISAB forces to United Nations command.
٢ - واقترن إنشاء بعثة اﻷمم المتحدة في جمهورية أفريقيا الوسطى رسميا بنقل سلطات قوات بعثة البلدان اﻷفريقية لرصد تنفيذ اتفاقية بانغي إلى قيادة اﻷمم المتحدة في ١٥ نيسان/أبريل ١٩٩٥.

37. Audit services. Provision of $59,500 covers requirements for the external audit of MINURCA.

33. The Committee strongly recommended the maintenance of MINURCA beyond the holding of legislative and presidential elections.
٣٣ - وتوصي اللجنة بشدة بالابقاء على بعثة اﻷمم المتحدة في جمهورية أفريقيا الوسطى بعد إجراء الانتخابات التشريعية والرئاسية.

12. Decides that MINURCA is established for an initial period of 3 months until 15 July 1998 and expresses its intention to decide on the extension of MINURCA on the basis of the report to be submitted by the Secretary-General pursuant to paragraph 15 below;
