Heads and acts on behalf of the Secretary-General on all matters concerning the good offices of the Secretary-General in Rwanda. Consults the Secretary-General and implements policy relating to the good offices mission of the United Nations in Rwanda.
يترأس، ويتصرف، نيابة عن اﻷمين العام بالنسبة لجميع المسائل المتعلقة بالمساعي الحميدة التي يبذلها اﻷمين العام في رواندا، ويتشاور مع اﻷمين العام، وينفذ السياسة المتعلقة ببعثة المساعي الحميدة التي تضطلع بها اﻷمم المتحدة في رواندا.

They encourage you to undertake consultations with the Government of Rwanda, as well as with relevant United Nations agencies, on the appropriate nature of the role of the United Nations in Rwanda after the expiration of UNAMIR's final mandate period on 8 March 1996.
وهم يشجعونكم على إجراء مشاورات مع حكومة رواندا ومع وكالات اﻷمم المتحدة المختصة بشأن الطبيعة المناسبة لدور اﻷمم المتحدة في رواندا بعد انقضاء الفترة النهائية لولاية البعثة في ٨ آذار/مارس ١٩٩٦.

I have recently been informed that a previously agreed arrangement by which UNOR would occupy space in the same building is no longer acceptable to the Tribunal.
وقد أبلِغت مؤخرا بأن المحكمة لم تعد تقبل ترتيبا سبق الاتفاق عليه يقضي بأن يشغل مكتب اﻷمم المتحدة في رواندا مكانا في نفس المبنى الذي توجد به المحكمة.

The Council approved my proposal that the deployment and withdrawal of UNAMIR should be carried out in stages and noted that the mandate of UNAMIR would end following national elections and the installation of a new Government in Rwanda.
ووافق المجلس على اقتراحي الداعي الى نشر وانسحاب بعثة اﻷمم المتحدة في رواندا على مراحل، وأشار الى أن ولاية البعثة ستنتهي عقب إجراء الانتخابات الوطنية وإقامة حكومة جديدة في رواندا.

With the termination of the UNAMIR mandate on 8 March 1996, " Radio UNAMIR " temporarily suspended its broadcasts pending government authorization for the station to continue to broadcast under the new name of " Radio United Nations Rwanda " .
وبانتهاء ولاية البعثة في ٨ آذار/مارس ١٩٩٦، أوقفت " إذاعة بعثة اﻷمم المتحدة لتقديم المساعدة الى رواندا " البث مؤقتا، بانتظار ترخيص من الحكومة بمواصلة البث باسم جديد هو " إذاعة اﻷمم المتحدة في رواندا " .

The present report provides an update on the situation since my progress report of 9 April, as well as recommendations regarding the role of the United Nations in Rwanda.

A public information campaign requires the production of high quality public relations material and should respond to the different ways in which audiences consume information, i.e. pamphlets and brochures, video presentations and still photography products depicting the role of the United Nations in Rwanda.
١٣٩ - يلزم لشن الحملة اﻹعلامية انتاج مواد اتصالية عامة ذات نوعية راقية وتوفر قدرة على الاستجابة الى مختلف السبل التي يقبل بها الجمهور على المواد اﻹعلامية، مثل، الكراسات اﻹعلامية والملصقات وعروض الفيديو ومعارض الصور الفوتوغرافية التي تعبر عن دور اﻷمم المتحدة في رواندا.

Noting the offer by Member States to cooperate with the Secretary-General towards the fulfilment of the objectives of the United Nations in Rwanda (S/1994/734), and stressing the strictly humanitarian character of this operation which shall be conducted in an impartial and neutral fashion, and shall not constitute an interposition force between the parties,
وإذ يحيط علما بالعرض المقدم من دول أعضاء للتعاون مع اﻷمين العام نحو تحقيق أهداف اﻷمم المتحدة في رواندا (S/1994/734)، وإذ يؤكد على الطابع اﻹنساني الصرف لهذه العملية التي ستنفذ على نحو نزيه ومحايد، ولن تكون بمثابة قوة فاصلة بين الطرفين،

13. Resource requirements for UNOR will be sought from the General Assembly in due course.
١٣ - وستُلتمس من الجمعية العامة، في الوقت المناسب، الموارد اللازمة لمكتب اﻷمم المتحدة في رواندا.

(ii) Urges the Security Council to take urgent actions to help protect the lives and property of civilians in Rwanda, and to consider expanding the size and mandate of UNAMIR in Rwanda;
' ٢ ' تحث مجلس اﻷمن على اتخاذ إجراءات عاجلة للمساعدة في حماية أرواح المدنيين وممتلكاتهم في رواندا، والنظر في زيادة حجم بعثة اﻷمم المتحدة في رواندا وتوسيع نطاق ولايتها؛

The Government of Rwanda has indicated that while it has no objection to " Radio United Nations Rwanda " replacing " Radio UNAMIR " , formal authorization will be conveyed after finalization of the UNOR mandate.
وقد أوضحت حكومة رواندا أنه، مع عدم ممانعتها في حلول " إذاعة اﻷمم المتحدة في رواندا " محل " إذاعة بعثة اﻷمم المتحدة لتقديم المساعدة الى رواندا " ، سيسلم الترخيص الرسمي بعد وضع الصيغة النهائية لولاية مكتب اﻷمم المتحدة في رواندا.
