ورجت من اﻷمين العام أن يولي قدراً كافياً من الاهتمام لبلدان منطقة آسيا والمحيط الهادئ عن طريق تخصيص مزيد من الموارد من صناديق اﻷمم المتحدة القائمة حالياً بغية تمكين بلدان المنطقة من الاستفادة من جميع اﻷنشطة التي تندرج في إطار برنامج الخدمات الاستشارية والمساعدة التقنية في ميدان حقوق اﻹنسان.

3. Requests the Secretary-General to give higher priority to disability activities and to allocate the resources necessary to enable the United Nations Secretariat to fulfil its function as focal point in a forceful way;
٣ - يطلب إلى اﻷمين العام أن يولي أولوية عليا لﻷنشطة المتصلة بالمعوقين وأن يخصص لها الموارد اللازمة، بما يمكﱢن اﻷمانة العامة لﻷمم المتحدة من أن تؤدي بشكل فعال، وظيفتها كمركز تنسيق؛

We welcome the decision taken at the last meeting of the Economic and Social Council to renew Mr Lindqvist's term of office for a further period of three years, and we recall the Council's request to the Secretary-General to give greater priority to activities concerning persons with disabilities and to set aside the necessary resources to enable the Secretariat to perform its function as a focal point.
ونرحب بالقرار المتخذ في الاجتماع اﻷخير للمجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي بتجديد فترة شغل السيد لندكويست لمنصبه لمدة ثلاث سنوات أخرى، ونذكر بطلب المجلس الى اﻷمين العام أن يولي أولوية أكبر لﻷنشطة التي تتعلق باﻷشخاص ذوي العاهات وتخصيص الموارد اللازمة لتمكين اﻷمانة العامة من الاضطلاع بوظيفتها كمركز تنسيق.

6. Requests the Secretary-General to give special emphasis to financial and institutional arrangements in his report to the Fourth World Conference on Women, requested by the General Assembly in paragraph 31 of its resolution 48/108, on the extent to which gender concerns have been included in the relevant human rights mechanisms;
٦ - تطلب إلى اﻷمين العام أن يولي اهتماما خاصا للترتيبات المالية والمؤسسية في تقريره إلى المؤتمر العالمي الرابع المعني بالمرأة والذي طلبته الجمعية العامة في الفقرة ٣١ من قرارها ٤٨/١٠٨ عن مدى إدراج الاهتمامات المتعلقة بالفروق بين الجنسين في آليات حقوق اﻹنسان ذات الصلة؛

6. Requests the Secretary-General to give consistent consideration to the importance of crime prevention and criminal justice activities in the context of peace-keeping operations and humanitarian assistance in armed conflicts;

Approves the Commission's recommendation that the General Assembly, through the Council, should request the Secretary-General to assign high priority to the activities of the Programme of Action for the Third Decade to Combat Racism and Racial Discrimination and to earmark adequate resources to finance the activities of the Programme;
1- يوافق على توصية اللجنة بأن تتقدم الجمعية العامة، من خلال المجلس، بطلب إلى الأمين العام أن يولي أولوية عالية لأنشطة برنامج عمل العقد الثالث لمكافحة العنصرية والتمييز العنصري وأن يخصص ما يكفي من الموارد لتمويل أنشطة برنامج العمل؛
