The above-mentioned arrangement came into effect on 29 May 1998 when the Secretary-General reported to the Security Council pursuant to paragraph 5 of resolution 1153 (1998) (S/1998/446).

3. Decides that the Mission be established for a period of up to six months subject to the proviso that it will continue beyond 6 February 1995 only if the Secretary-General reports to the Council by that date that the parties have agreed to extend the Agreement of 17 September 1994, and that they remain committed to an effective cease-fire, to national reconciliation and to the promotion of democracy;

5. Decides to extend the mandate of UNMOT until 15 March 1997 subject to the proviso that the Tehran Agreement remains in force and the parties demonstrate their commitment to an effective ceasefire, to national reconciliation and to the promotion of democracy, and further decides that this mandate will remain in effect until that date unless the Secretary-General reports to the Council that these conditions have not been met;
٥ - يقرر تمديد ولاية بعثة مراقبي اﻷمم المتحدة في طاجيكستان إلى ٥١ آذار/مارس ٧٩٩١ شريطة أن يظل اتفاق طهران نافذا وأن يبدي الطرفان التزامهما بوقف فعلي ﻹطلاق النار وبالمصالحة الوطنية وتعزيز الديمقراطية، ويقرر كذلك أن تظل هذه الولاية نافذة ما لم يقدم اﻷمين العام تقريرا إلى المجلس يفيد بعدم الوفاء بهذه الشروط؛

4. Should the Secretary-General report to the United Nations on the common activities of the United Nations and OPCW or on the development of relations between them, any such report shall be promptly transmitted by the Secretary-General to OPCW.
4 - إذا قدم الأمين العام تقريرا إلى الأمم المتحدة عن الأنشطة المشتركة بين الأمم المتحدة والمنظمة أو عن تطور العلاقات بينهما، فإن عليه أن يحيله فورا إلى المنظمة.

8. The Committee on Conferences had not agreed on a proposal by one delegation that the Secretary-General should report to the General Assembly on the criteria used to determine which documents would be translated by staff members and which by external contractors, and had decided to refer the issue to the Fifth Committee for its consideration.
8 - وأردفت قائلة إن لجنة المؤتمرات لم توافق على اقتراح قدمه أحد الوفود بأن يقدم الأمين العام تقريرا إلى الجمعية العامة عن المعايير المستخدمة لتحديد الوثائق التي يترجمها الموظفون العاملون والوثائق التي يترجمها المتعاقدون الخارجيون، وقررت إحالة هذه المسألة إلى اللجنة الخامسة كي تنظر فيها.

15.
