٣ - حتى بدء نفاذ أي تعديل، فإنه يصبح ملزما للدول اﻷطراف التي قبلته، وتظل الدول المتعاقدة اﻷخرى ملزمة بأحكام هذه الاتفاقية وبأي تعديلات سابقة تكون قد قبلتها.

Stricter adherence to the provisions of that Convention would undoubtedly promote wider acceptance of Amended Protocol II and thus further the objectives of the Convention on Conventional Weapons.
ومن شأن تعزيز التقيّد بأحكام هذه الاتفاقية دون شك زيادة الانضمام إلى البروتوكول الثاني المعدل وبالتالي تيسير تحقيق أهداف اتفاقية حظر أو تقييد استعمال أسلحة تقليدية معينة.
