(Agenda item 4) At the 2nd meeting, on 3 December, the President recalled that the COP, by its decision 1/CP.11, had resolved to engage in a dialogue to exchange experiences and analyse strategic approaches for long-term cooperative action to address climate change.

5. When considering possible changes to the frequency of the sessions of the COP and the CMP, Parties may wish to recall that the COP and the CMP are the supreme decision-making bodies of the Convention and its Kyoto Protocol, respectively.
