7 - نظرا لأهمية العمل الذي يضطلع به فريق الخبراء المعني بالأسماء الجغرافية في دعم مؤتمرات الأمم المتحدة المتعلقة بتوحيد الأسماء الجغرافية، والإسهام الجوهري الذي لا يزال يقدمه للدول الأعضاء في المجال الجغرافي ومجالات رسم الخرائط، يوصى بأن يقوم المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي بما يلي:

Strengthening of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights 25. In its resolution 2004/2, the Commission recommended that the Economic and Social Council and the General Assembly provide the Office of the High Commissioner with ways and means commensurate with its increasing tasks, as well as more resources for special rapporteurs.

7. 7 - نظرا لأهمية العمل الذي يضطلع به فريق خبراء الأمم المتحدة المعني بالأسماء الجغرافية في دعم مؤتمرات الأمم المتحدة المتعلقة بتوحيد الأسماء الجغرافية، والإسهام الجوهري الذي لا يزال يقدمه للدول الأعضاء في مجال المعلومات الجغرافية وميادين رسم الخرائط ذات الصلة، يوصي الفريق بأن يقوم المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي بما يلي:

(a) The report of the Committee on its first session was reviewed by the Commission on Sustainable Development at its seventh session, held in April 1999, and the Commission recommended that the Economic and Social Council transmit the report to the Commission at its eighth session and to the Ad Hoc Open-Ended Intergovernmental Group of Experts on Energy and Sustainable Development at its first session;
(أ) استعراض لجنة التنمية المستدامة في دورتها السابعة المعقودة في نيسان/أبريل 1999 لتقرير اللجنة عن دورتها الأولى، وقد أوصت لجنة التنمية المستدامة بأن يقوم المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي بإحالة التقرير إليها في دورتها الثامنة وإلى فريق الخبراء الحكومي الدولي المفتوح باب العضوية المخصص لموضوع الطاقة والتنمية المستدامة في دورته الأولى؛
