The Committee regrets that the implementation of the provisions and principles of the Convention relating to the administration of juvenile justice has been given insufficient attention, both in legislation and in practice.

321. As regards children requiring special protection measures, the situation in relation to the administration of juvenile justice is a matter of general concern to the Committee.
٣٢١ - أما فيما يتعلق باﻷطفال الذين يحتاجون الى تدابير حماية خاصة، فإن الموقف فيما يتصل بإدارة قضاء اﻷحداث هو مسألة تثير القلق لدى اللجنة عموما.

3. The law relating to the administration of juvenile justice was contained primarily in the Children's and Young Persons' Ordinance of 1939, which defined children as those under 14 and young persons as those between 14 and 16.

71. The Committee proposed, in accordance with article 44, paragraph 4, of the Convention, that additional information be provided to the Committee with respect to the administration of juvenile justice by 1 June 1993 in order to enable the Committee's pre-sessional working group to consider that information and to report back to the Committee at its autumn session.
١٧ - واقترحت اللجنة، وفقا للفقرة ٤ من المادة ٤٤ من الاتفاقية، توفير معلومات إضافية للجنة فيما يتعلق بإدارة قضاء اﻷحداث وذلك بحلول أول حزيران/يونيه ١٩٩٣ بغية تمكين فريق اللجنة العامل لما قبل الدورة من النظر في هذه المعلومات وتقديم تقرير بشأنها إلى اللجنة في دورتها الخريفية.

263. The Committee notes that legislation relating to juvenile justice has been enacted in all of the Overseas Territories.
