8. Turning to the topic of treaties over time, she noted that the method of evolutive interpretation had long been codified in article 31, paragraphs (3) (a) and (b), of the Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties.

11. At the time of adoption, the Commission commented on the relationship of the draft articles to the Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties, of 1969, and provided some explanations of the methodological approach undertaken during the preparation of the draft articles.

٦ - تأذن لﻷمين العام بأن يودع، بالنيابة عن اﻷمم المتحدة، صك اﻹقرار الرسمي باتفاقية فيينا لقانون المعاهدات التي تبرم بين الدول والمنظمات الدولية أو بين المنظمات الدولية كما هو منصوص عليه في المادة ٨٣ من الاتفاقية؛

4.10 With respect to the authors' claim that the State party has contravened the Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties, the State party submits that this claim is inadmissible as the Committee is only mandated to consider alleged violations of the Covenant and not any other international instrument.
