The Group of 77 and China called upon the Secretary-General to use benefits accruing from favourable exchange rates in the first place to restore activities which had been reduced or deferred, and insisted upon strict implementation of the budgetary procedure laid down in General Assembly resolution 41/213 regarding the use of the contingency fund for financing new mandates not related to peace and security.
٢٨ - وتابعت كلامها قائلة إن مجموعة اﻟ ٧٧ والصين تطلبان إلى اﻷمين العام أن يجعل في مقدمة المجالات التي تستخدم فيها المكاسب المتحققة من استخدام أسعار الصرف الملائمة استعادة اﻷنشطة التي اختُزلت أو أرجئت، وتصران على ضرورة التنفيذ الدقيق لإجراءات الميزانية المنصوص عليها في قرار الجمعية العامة ٤١/٢١٣ فيما يتعلق باستخدام صندوق الطوارئ لتمويل الولايات الجديدة غير المتصلة بالسلام واﻷمن.

In accordance with the criteria for use of the contingency fund annexed to General Assembly resolution 42/211 of 21 December 1987, the Committee, at its resumed 45th meeting, on 18 December, considered a consolidated statement of all programme budget implications and revised estimates that were subject to the criteria for the use of the contingency fund.
٣ - ووفقا للمبادئ التوجيهية المتعلقة باستخدام صندوق الطوارئ المرفقة بقرار الجمعية العامة ٤٢/٢١١ المؤرخ ٢١ كانون اﻷول/ ديسمبر ١٩٨٧، نظرت اللجنـة، فــي جلستها ٤٥ المستأنفة المعقـودة في ١٨ كانون اﻷول/ ديسمبر، في بيان موحد بجميع اﻵثار المتعلقة بالميزانية البرنامجية والتقديرات المنقحة الخاضعة للمعايير المقررة لاستخدام صندوق الطوارئ.

20. The Advisory Committee recommends that the General Assembly approve the additional requirements of $1,733,100 for the biennium 2008-2009 as described in paragraph 19 above, on the understanding that any appropriations as may be necessary will be requested in the context of the consolidated statement of programme budget implications and revised estimates for 2008-2009 relating to the use of the contingency fund.

5. At its 26th meeting, on 21 December, in accordance with the guidelines for the use of the contingency fund (see General Assembly resolution 42/211, annex), the Committee considered a consolidated statement of programme budget implications and revised estimates that were subject to the criteria for the use of the contingency fund (A/C.5/62/22) and the related oral statement of the Advisory Committee.

3. In accordance with the criteria for the use of the contingency fund annexed to General Assembly resolution 42/211 of 21 December 1987, the Committee, at its 37th meeting, on 13 December 2002, considered a consolidated statement of programme budget implications and revised estimates that were subject to the criteria for the use of the contingency fund (A/C.5/57/33).
3 - ووفقا للمعايير المتعلقة باستخدام صندوق الطوارئ المرفقة بقرار الجمعية العامة 42/211 المؤرخ 21 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 1987، نظرت اللجنة، في جلستها 37 المعقودة في 13 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2002، في بيان موحد بجميع الآثار المترتبة في الميزانية البرنامجية والتقديرات المنقحة الخاضعة للمعايير المتعلقة باستخدام صندوق الطوارئ (A/C.5/57/33).
