My delegation associates itself with the statement made by the Permanent Representative of Tanzania, who spoke on behalf of the Group of 77 and China, as well as with the statement made by the Permanent Representative of Colombia on behalf of the non-aligned countries.

25. Ms. Simbrao de Carvalho (Angola) said that her delegation endorsed the statement made by the delegation of Zimbabwe on behalf of the non-aligned countries.

11. Mr. SUTOYO (Indonesia), speaking on behalf of the non-aligned countries, said that the resolution generally reflected the common views of all delegations on how the High Commissioner for Human Rights should carry out his mandate in the promotion and protection of all human rights including the right to development.

37. Mr. SUTOYO (Indonesia), speaking on behalf of the non-aligned countries, urged the Committee to allocate further time to careful discussion and analysis of document A/49/6 (Prog. 35), failing which it would be unable to convey its views to the Chairman of the Fifth Committee.

Mr. Alvaro Sevilla Siero, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Nicaragua, and by the representatives of Germany, Argentina, the Philippines, Slovenia and Poland.

Mr. Wisnumurti (Indonesia): It is a distinct honour and privilege for me to deliver this statement on behalf of the non-aligned countries on the agenda item before us, namely, the report of the Security Council to the General Assembly, to which we attach great importance.I should like at the outset to commend the President of the Security Council, Ambassador David Hannay, for his lucid introduction of the Council's annual report.
