1. The General Assembly, in its resolution 48/108 of 20 December 1993, established the criteria for accreditation of non-governmental organizations to participate in and contribute to the Fourth World Conference on Women and its preparatory body, taking into account resolution 37/7 of the Commission on the Status of Women.
١ - قامت الجمعية العامة، في قرارها ٤٨/١٠٨ المؤرخ ٣٠ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ١٩٩٣، بتحديد المعايير المتصلة باعتماد المنظمات غير الحكومية للمشاركة والمساهمة في المؤتمر العالمي الرابع المعني بالمرأة وهيئته التحضيرية، مع مراعاة القرار ٣٧/٧ للجنة مركز المرأة.

1. In accordance with decision PC.1/2 adopted by the Preparatory Committee for the Durban Review Conference at its preparatory meeting in August 2007, and endorsed by the General Assembly in resolution 62/143, the following procedure was approved for the accreditation of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to participate in the sessions of the Preparatory Committee.
1- وفقاً للمقرر ل ت-1/2 الذي اعتمدته اللجنة التحضيرية لمؤتمر ديربان الاستعراضي في اجتماعها التحضيري في آب/أغسطس 2007، والذي أقرته الجمعية العامة في قرارها 62/143، وُوفِق على الإجراء التالي القاضي باعتماد المنظمات غير الحكومية للمشاركة في دورات اللجنة التحضيرية.

18. At its 4th meeting, on 1 June, the Preparatory Committee adopted a draft decision (A/AC.256/L.5/Rev.1) on arrangements for accreditation of non-governmental organizations in the special session, as orally amended (see para. 25, decision 7).

That increased interaction was also encouraged by the informal working group of the Committee, which had prepared a draft letter for the signature of the Chairman of the Committee addressed to the Chairman of the Commission on Human Rights on accreditation of NGOs to Commission sessions.
