I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate those States parties to the Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons that have already ratified this amendment and I would like to urge all other States parties to undertake the necessary steps to adhere to amended article 1 as soon as possible.
وأود أن أغتنم هذه الفرصة لأشيد بالدول الأطراف في اتفاقية الأسلحة التقليدية التي صدقت على هذا التعديل وأن أحث سائر الدول الأطراف على اتخاذ ما يلزم من تدابير لاعتماد المادة 1 المعدلة في أسرع وقت ممكن.

The Committee also took note of the preparation by the Office of the High Commissioner of another workshop on follow-up action addressed to States parties to the Convention on the Rights of the Child to be held in the Syrian Arab Republic in December 2003.
كما أحاطت اللجنة علماً بأن المفوضية السامية تعد لحلقة عمل أخرى بشأن إجراءات المتابعة خاصة بالدول الأطراف في اتفاقية حقوق الطفل، ستعقد في الجمهورية العربية السورية في كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2003.

Recognizes that every child and juvenile in conflict with the law must be treated in a manner consistent with his or her rights, dignity and needs, in accordance with international law, bearing in mind relevant international standards on human rights in the administration of justice, and calls on States parties to the Convention on the Rights of the Child to abide strictly by its principles and provisions;
17- يقر بأنه يجب معاملة الأطفال والأحداث المخالفين للقانون بطريقة تراعي حقوقهم وكرامتهم واحتياجاتهم، وفقاً للقانون الدولي، مع وضع المعايير الدولية المتصلة بحقوق الإنسان في مجال إقامة العدل في الاعتبار، ويهيب بالدول الأطراف في اتفاقية حقوق الطفل التقيد الصارم بمبادئها وأحكامها؛

" 19. Welcomes the adoption by the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women of general recommendation No. 26, on women migrant workers, and calls upon States parties to the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women to consider the recommendation;
