In that regard, there was a need to follow up the recommendations made to the Director-General of UNESCO at the Intergovernmental Conference on Cultural Policies for Development.
وفي هذا الصدد، تدعو الحاجة لمتابعة توصيات المدير العام لليونسكو أمام المؤتمر الحكومي الدولي المعني بالسياسات الثقافية من أجل التنمية.

وإذ شجعتها الاستجابة الدولية الإيجابية للنتائح التي حققتها اللجنة العالمية المعنية بالثقافة والتنمية والمؤتمر الحكومي الدولي المعني بالسياسات الثقافية من أجل التنمية الذي نظمته منظمة الأمم المتحدة للتربية والعلم والثقافة في ستكهولم في الفترة من 30 آذار/مارس إلى 2 نيسان/أبريل 1998،

5. Welcomes the convening in Stockholm in 1998 of an intergovernmental conference on Cultural Policies for Development, organized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization;
٥ - ترحب بعقد مؤتمر حكومي دولي معني بالسياسات الثقافية من أجل التنمية تنظمه منظمة اﻷمم المتحدة للتربية والعلم والثقافة في استكهولم في عام ١٩٩٨؛

12. The Intergovernmental Conference on Cultural Policies for Development was classified under category II of UNESCO regulations on intergovernmental meetings other than international conferences of States.
٢١- تم تصنيف المؤتمر الحكومي الدولي المعني بالسياسات الثقافية من أجل التنمية ضمن الفئة الثانية من لوائح اليونسكو بشأن الاجتماعات الحكومية الدولية بخلاف المؤتمرات الدولية.

7. In the spring of 1998, immediately after the Stockholm Conference, the UNESCO secretariat designed a new line of action on Cultural Policies for Development.
7 - في ربيع عام 1998، وبعد انتهاء مؤتمر استكهولم مباشرة، وضعت أمانة اليونسكو خطا جديدا للعمل المتعلق بالسياسات الثقافية من أجل التنمية.

(a) To ensure, in cooperation with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, continuous and effective implementation of the Action Plan on Cultural Policies for Development;1
(أ) كفالة التنفيذ المستمر والفعال لخطة العمل المتعلقة بالسياسات الثقافية من أجل التنمية(1)، وذلك بالتعاون مع منظمة الأمم المتحدة للتربية والعلم والثقافة؛

1. The Sami Council has prepared this report on the concerns of indigenous peoples with regard to cultural policies and cultural rights on the occasion of the Intergovernmental Conference on Cultural Policies for Development organized by UNESCO in Stockholm from 30 March to 2 April 1998.
١- أعد مجلس شعوب الصامي هذا التقرير عن شواغل الشعوب اﻷصلية فيما يتعلق بالسياسات الثقافية والحقوق الثقافية بمناسبة المؤتمر الحكومي الدولي المعني بالسياسات الثقافية من أجل التنمية الذي نظمته اليونسكو في ستكهولم في الفترة ٠٣ آذار/مارس إلى ٢ نيسان/أبريل ٨٩٩١.

The programme of action adopted on 2 April 1998 by the Intergovernmental Conference on Cultural Policies for Development in Stockholm, Sweden, recognized among its guiding principles that sustainable development and the flourishing of culture are interdependent.
125- واعترف برنامج العمل الذي اعتمده في 2 نيسان/أبريل 1998 المؤتمر الحكومي الدولي المعني بالسياسات الثقافية من أجل التنمية في استكهولم، السويد، بين مبادئه التوجيهية، بأن التنمية المستدامة وازدهار الثقافة مترابطان.

The information contained in document A/55/339 clearly showed that the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) was playing an effective role in the follow-up to the implementation of the Action Plan on Cultural Policies for Development adopted by the Stockholm Conference in 1998.
وأضاف أن المعلومات الواردة في الوثيقة A/55/339 تُبيِّن بوضوح أن منظمة الأمم المتحدة للتربية والعلم والثقافة (اليونسكو) تقوم بدور فعَّال في متابعة تنفيذ خطة العمل المتعلقة بالسياسات الثقافية من أجل التنمية التي اعتمدها مؤتمر استكهولم في عام 1998.

6. Member States in all regions contributed to the conceptualization of the new programme on Cultural Policies for Development elaborated by the Director-General of UNESCO, as follow-up to the Stockholm Conference (see below), by indicating their priorities in reply to a questionnaire sent to them by the UNESCO secretariat in the summer of 1999 or by calling upon the advisory services and technical expertise of UNESCO.
6 - وساهمت الدول الأعضاء من كافة المناطق في وضع تصور للبرنامج الجديد المتعلق بالسياسات الثقافية من أجل التنمية الذي وضعه المدير العام لليونسكو،على سبيل متابعة مؤتمر استكهولم (انظر أدناه)، وذلك بتحديد أولوياتها ردا على استبيان بعثت به أمانة اليونسكو إلى تلك الدول في صيف عام 1999 أو باللجوء إلى الخدمات الاستشارية والخبرة التقنية لليونسكو.
