198. In concluding, the representative informed the Committee that laws would be implemented and enacted to give effect to the empowerment of women. They included the Equality bill of 2001 and the National Commission on Gender and Development bill of 2002.
198 - وفي ختام عرضها للتقرير، أبلغت الممثلة اللجنة أنـه سيتم تطبيق وسـنّ قوانين لتفعيل مقتضيات تمكين المرأة، شملت قانون المساواة لعام 2001، وقانون اللجنة الوطنية المعنية بالشؤون الجنسانية والتنمية لعام 2002.

225. The Committee is concerned that the National Commission on Gender and Development is lacking the means to effectively coordinate among the different mechanisms related to gender; and that the lack of a clear division of responsibilities and insufficient budget allocations may have a negative bearing on the effective implementation of the Convention.
225 - ويساور اللجنة القلق لأن اللجنة الوطنية المعنية بالشؤون الجنسانية والتنمية تفتقر إلى سبل التنسيق الفعال بين مختلف الآليات المتصلة بنوع الجنس؛ ولأن عدم وجود تقسيم واضح للمسؤوليات وعدم كفاية الاعتمادات المخصصة في الميزانية قد يؤثران تأثيرا سلبيا على التنفيذ الفعال للاتفاقية.

12. Government further strengthened the Gender in Development Division (GIDD) by creating a portfolio for a Cabinet Minister of Gender and Women in Development in 2006 to ensure that there is representation of Gender and Development issues at the highest level of government.
12- وعززت الحكومة كذلك الشعبة المعنية بدور المرأة في التنمية عن طريق تعيين وزير بمجلس الوزراء معني بالشؤون الجنسانية ودور المرأة في التنمية في عام 2006، وذلك لضمان وجود تمثيل للقضايا المتصلة بالشؤون الجنسانية والتنمية على أعلى مستوى في الحكومة.

On the other hand the National Commission on Gender and Development Act 2003 section 11(5) specifies that the director and deputy director of the commission shall be of opposite sexes and at no one time shall more than two - thirds of the Commission be of the same gender.
