The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) continues the emphasis of its outreach programme on women and the environment.

Close to 190,000 copies of the pamphlet entitled " 100 questions about the knowledge on women and the environment " were distributed as part of the " March 8 Green Works " campaign, which has involved the participation of 100 million women annually in a campaign for reforestation, creation of shelter forests and soil and water conservation.
