16. The Committee takes note of the information provided by the State party on the measures taken to implement the Committee's decision in Alzery v. Sweden and welcomes the settlement between the Chancellor of Justice and Mr. Alzery in 2008.

While the Committee notes the information submitted by the State party on the trafficking and sale of Ecuadorean children and welcomes the measures undertaken by the State party’s authorities to combat this phenomenon, the Committee is of the opinion that measures in this regard need to be strengthened.
