342 - وتهيب اللجنة بالدولة الطرف أن تتخذ كافة التدابير اللازمة لضمان الامتثال التام لأحكام الاتفاقية، وقانون الأحوال الشخصية والأسرة، وقانون العقوبات، وسائر القوانين فيما يتعلق بالممارسات التقليدية أو العرفية الضارة التي من شأنها انتهاك حقوق الإنسان.

1. In its resolution 56/128 of 19 December 2001, on traditional or customary practices affecting the health of women and girls, the General Assembly requested the Secretary-General to report to it at its fifty-eighth session on the implementation of the resolution, including examples of national best practices and international cooperation.
1 - في القرار 56/128 المؤرخ 19 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2001، والمتعلق بالممارسات التقليدية أو العرفية التي تؤثر على صحة المرأة والبنت، طلبت الجمعية العامة إلى الأمين العام أن يوافيها في دورتها الثامنة والخمسين بتقرير عن تنفيذ ذلك القرار، يتضمن أمثلة على أفضل الممارسات الوطنية وعلى التعاون الدولي.

67. As the Committee established under the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women, CEDAW is concerned with traditional or customary practices affecting women and children, although States' reports to it appear to contain only very little information in this connection.

٢٠ - ومضت قائلة إن حكومتها قامت، على نحو ما تمت اﻹشارة اليه في تقرير اﻷمين العام عن الممارسات التقليدية أو العرفية التي تؤثر في صحة المرأة والبنت )A/53/354( بإنشاء لجنة وطنية معنية بالممارسات التقليدية أو العرفية وذلك ﻹعداد المعلومات والقيام بحملات للتوعية بشأن جميع الممارسات التي تؤثر على صحة المرأة والبنت.
