The operationalization of policies at the programming level, the full use of the potential of development cooperation for disability mainstreaming and strengthening of the coordination of activities to gather reliable and internationally comparable disability data can lead to rapid progress towards the achievement of internationally agreed development goals for persons with disabilities.

(a) Organize, in the light of its request that the President of the Assembly review, at its seventieth session, the status of and progress made towards the realization of the development goals for persons with disabilities, an event for such a review to be held in conjunction with the seventieth session of the Assembly (see resolution 68/3, para. 10).
(أ) القيام، في ضوء طلبها إلى رئيس الجمعية العامة إجراء استعراض في دورتها السبعين لحالة تحقيق الأهداف الإنمائية بما يعود بالنفع على الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة والتقدم المحرز في ذلك، بتنظيم نشاط لإجراء هذا الاستعراض يعقد بالتزامن مع الدورة السبعين للجمعية (انظر القرار 68/3، الفقرة 10).

2. We reaffirm the need for the realization of the Millennium Development Goals and other internationally agreed development goals for persons with disabilities towards 2015 and beyond, and recognize persons with disabilities as agents and beneficiaries of development, acknowledging the value of their contribution to the general well-being, progress and diversity of society.
2 - ونعيد تأكيد ضرورة تحقيق الأهداف الإنمائية للألفية وسائر الأهداف الإنمائية المتفق عليها دوليا بما يعود بالنفع على الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة حتى عام 2015 وما بعده، ونقر بأن الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة فاعلون في عملية التنمية ومستفيدون منها، ونقدر قيمة إسهاماتهم في تحقيق الرفاه لجميع أفراد المجتمع وكفالة تقدمه وتنوعه.

7. In my previous report, I mentioned the importance of the convening of the high-level meeting of the General Assembly on the realization of the Millennium Development Goals and other internationally agreed development goals for persons with disabilities and its outcome document, on the theme " The way forward: a disability-inclusive development agenda towards 2015 and beyond " (General Assembly resolution 68/3).
٧ - ولقد أشرتُ في تقريري السابق إلى أهمية انعقاد اجتماع الجمعية العامة الرفيع المستوى المعني بتحقيق الأهداف الإنمائية للألفية وسائر الأهداف الإنمائية المتفق عليها دوليا بما يعود بالنفع على الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة ووثيقته الختامية، حول موضوع " سبل المضي قدماً: وضع خطة للتنمية تشمل المسائل المتصلة بالإعاقة حتى عام 2015 وما بعده " (قرار الجمعية العامة 68/3).
