44. At the request of the Centre for Human Rights and Peace Advocacy, which is based in Bamenda, Cameroon, the Centre conducted on 19 and 20 April 2004 a training workshop on the rights-based approach to lobbying and advocacy on human rights and democracy issues.

71- وأفادت التقارير بأن ست حالات من بين حالات الاختفاء التسع التي أبلغ بها الفريق العامل من قبل، وقعت في عام 1992، وهي تخص خمسة فتيان تتراوح أعمارهم بين 13 و17 عاماً، ومن بينهم ثلاثة أشقاء أفادت التقارير بأن الشرطة احتجزتهم في بامندا في نفس الفترة التي تم فيها توقيف زعماء حركة الناطقين باللغة الإنكليزية في الكاميرون وأكثر من 40 فلاحاً في أعقاب مظاهرة سلمية.

In this regard, the author quotes a letter sent by the Prefect of Mezam to the Bamenda Public Prosecutor on 23 July 2007 in which he acknowledged that the author had been arrested without a warrant and stated that the gendarmes had acted on the orders of the Mezam Division, but pointed out that such arrests would no longer take place, as the Prefect would not fail to ask the Prosecutor for instructions before proceeding.
وفي هذا السياق، يشير صاحب البلاغ إلى رسالة موجّهة من محافظة ميزام إلى المدعي العام في بامندا مؤرخة 23 تموز/يوليه 2007 تعترف فيها بتوقيف صاحب البلاغ دون أمر إيقاف وبتصرّف أفراد الدرك بأمر من دائرة ميزام وتأكيدهم، رغم ذلك، أن هذا التوقيف لن يتكرر حيث لن يتردد المحافظ مستقبلاً في التماس توجيهات المدعي العام قبل المبادرة إلى التوقيف.
