In this regard, the subprogramme will serve as a clearinghouse that would aim to serve Member States, in particular developing countries and countries with economies in transition, by maintaining on-line information on Public Administration and Finance for development.
وسيقوم البرنامج الفرعي، في هذا الصدد، بدور غرفة المقاصة بغية خدمة الدول اﻷعضاء، وعلى وجه الخصوص البلدان النامية والبلدان التي تمر اقتصاداتها بمرحلة انتقالية عن طريق توفير إمداد مستمر بطريقة مباشرة بالمعلومات الخاصة باﻹدارة العامة والمالية العامة ﻷغراض التنمية.

8. At the same meeting, presentations were made by the Chairperson of the Commission on Population and Development and the Vice-Chairman of the Group of Experts on Public Administration and Finance.

1. The Fourteenth Meeting of Experts on the United Nations Programme in Public Administration and Finance was held at United Nations Headquarters, New York, from 4 to 8 May 1998, in accordance with decision 1997/222 of the Economic and Social Council.
