As was mentioned earlier, national strategies for the development of statistics are the overarching strategies of the Reference Regional Strategic Framework for statistical capacity-building in Africa.

The Reference Regional Strategic Framework for statistical capacity-building in Africa was designed in 2006 to provide strategic directions and appropriate mechanisms for guiding and accelerating the development of sustainable statistical capacity in Africa for managing for results, and for implementing the Marrakech Action Plan for Statistics.
