(c) (i) Extent to which the guidelines of the Commission on Science and Technology for Development on national strategies for information technologies and biotechnology have been implemented;

Welcoming the work of the Commission on Science and Technology for Development on its theme " Promoting the application of science and technology to meet the development goals contained in the United Nations Millennium Declaration " and taking note of the findings, which include, inter alia, the following:
إذ يرحب بأعمال اللجنة المعنية بتسخير العلم والتكنولوجيا لأغراض التنمية بشأن موضوع " تعزيز تطبيق العلم والتكنولوجيا لتحقيق الأهداف الإنمائية الواردة في إعلان الأمم المتحدة بشأن الألفية " وإذ يحيط علما باستنتاجات تلك الأعمال التي تضمنت، في جملة أمور ما يلي:

24. Decides to forward, for information purposes, the report of the Chair of the Commission on Science and Technology for Development on the outcome of the meeting to the General Assembly at its sixty-seventh session, while noting that there is no consensus on the accuracy and balance of how the views expressed in the meeting are reflected in the report;
24 - يقرر أن يحيل، لغرض الإعلام، تقرير رئيس اللجنة المعنية بتسخير العلم والتكنولوجيا لأغراض التنمية بشأن نتائج الاجتماع إلى الجمعية العامة في دورتها السابعة والستين، مع الإشارة إلى عدم التوصل إلى توافق في الآراء بشأن مدى الدقة والتوازن المتوخيين في التقرير لدى عرضه للآراء المعرب عنها في الاجتماع؛

At its 9th meeting, on 9 May 2003, the Commission on Science and Technology for Development took note of the synthesis report by the Secretary-General on its panels on technology development and capacity-building in a digital society.3
