Articles 37 and 41 of Law No. 31 of 1997, amending certain provisions of the Criminal Code, criminalizes trading in influence, whether actively or passively, which is in line with the requirements of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC).
وتجرِّم المادتان 37 و41 من القانون رقم 31 لسنة 1997، الصادر بتعديل بعض أحكام القانون الجنائي، استخدام النفوذ سواء كان بشكل سلبي أو إيجابي وهو ما يتماشى مع متطلبات اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لمكافحة الفساد.

Lebanon indicated that, on 6 June 1996, Act No. 513 amending certain provisions of the Penal Code was promulgated. The Act specifies various offences of a terrorist nature that are noted in the aforesaid conventions and also stipulates heavier penalties for the perpetrators of such offences.
