He acknowledged the role of the Conference as a forum for exchanging experiences and ideas concerning the implementation of the Convention and the Protocols thereto and gave further details on efforts by Nigeria to implement those instruments.
واعترف بدور المؤتمر كمنتدى لتبادل التجارب والأفكار المتعلقة بتنفيذ الاتفاقية والبروتوكولات الملحقة بها وقدّم تفاصيل إضافية عن الجهود التي تبذلها نيجيريا لتنفيذ تلك الصكوك.

A sub-item entitled " General discussion " was included in the agenda to allow time for statements to be made on matters of a general nature that are related to the implementation of the Convention and the Protocols thereto and that may be of interest to the Conference.
أُدرج بند فرعي عنوانه " المناقشة العامة " في جدول الأعمال لإتاحة وقت لإلقاء كلمات عن مسائل ذات طابع عام تتصل بتنفيذ الاتفاقية والبروتوكولات الملحقة بها وقد تكون ذا أهمية للمؤتمر.

The wish was also expressed that the Eleventh United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice should provide an opportunity to discuss issues relevant to the implementation of the Convention and its Protocols, as well as to raise awareness about their critical importance for more effective international cooperation.
كما أعرب عن الرغبة في أن يتيح مؤتمر الأمم المتحدة الحادي عشر لمنع الجريمة والعدالة الجنائية فرصة لمناقشة المسائل المتصلة بتنفيذ الاتفاقية والبروتوكولات الملحقة بها، وكذلك لإذكاء الوعي بشأن أهميتها البالغة في تحقيق مزيد من التعاون الدولي الفعال.

The thematic programme on transnational organized crime is being further developed to reflect the policy guidance and global framework of UNODC and to consistently develop technical assistance initiatives through global programmes of direct relevance to the implementation of the Convention and the Protocols thereto.
ويجري حاليًّا تعزيز البرنامج المواضيعي المتعلق بالجريمة المنظَّمة عبر الوطنية ليجسّد توجيهات المكتب المتعلقة بالسياسة العامة وإطاره الشامل وليمكِّن باستمرار من تطوير مبادرات المساعدة التقنية من خلال البرامج العالمية ذات الصلة المباشرة بتنفيذ الاتفاقية والبروتوكولات الملحقة بها.

The Working Group may wish to include in future a standing item on its agenda to consider the status of responses by States parties and signatories on implementation of the Convention and the Protocols thereto.

The mechanism shall promote the implementation of the Convention and its Protocols by States parties, as applicable, as well as cooperation among States parties.
6- تشجّع الآلية على قيام الدول الأطراف بتنفيذ الاتفاقية والبروتوكولات الملحقة بها، بحسب مقتضى الحال، وكذلك على التعاون بين الدول الأطراف.

(d) Further recalled that at its third session the Conference had expressed concern, in its decision 3/1, about the low rate of response of States parties to the questionnaires on the implementation of the Convention and the Protocols thereto;
(د) استذكر كذلك أن المؤتمر أعرب في دورته الثالثة، في مقرّره 3/1، عن قلقه من انخفاض معدّل ردود الدول الأطراف على الاستبيانات الخاصة بتنفيذ الاتفاقية والبروتوكولات الملحقة بها؛()

(m) Promote the implementation of the Convention and its Protocols by States parties, as applicable, as well as cooperation among States parties;
(م) أن تشجّع على قيام الدول الأطراف بتنفيذ الاتفاقية والبروتوكولات الملحقة بها، حسب مقتضى الحال، وكذلك على التعاون بين الدول الأطراف؛

The comparative advantage of UNODC in delivering high-quality advice and assistance in the implementation of the Convention and the Protocols thereto stems from its expertise on those instruments and its accumulated experience in taking a holistic approach to providing legislative assistance.
16- ويستمد المكتب مزيته النسبية في إسداء المشورة وتقديم المساعدة العاليتي النوعية فيما يتعلق بتنفيذ الاتفاقية والبروتوكولات الملحقة بها من خبرته بشأن تلك الصكوك وخبراته المتراكمة في مجال تقديم المساعدة التشريعية باتباع نهج شمولي.

(e) Offer individual assistance to States to prepare their self-assessment reports on reporting requirements in relation to the implementation of the Convention and Protocols thereto;
(ﻫ) عرض المساعدة الفردية على الدول من أجل إعداد تقاريرها الخاصة بالتقييم الذاتي عن متطلبات تقديم التقارير فيما يتعلق بتنفيذ الاتفاقية والبروتوكولات الملحقة بها؛

(b) In the context of the constructive dialogue between the governmental experts, the State party under review shall facilitate the exchange of information relevant to the implementation of the Convention and the Protocols thereto to which the State party under review is a party;
