Mr. Benyamina was released in March 2006 following a presidential amnesty decree concerning the implementation of the Charter for Peace and National Reconciliation of 27 February 2006.

3.10 The author maintains that she has no longer had the legal right to take judicial proceedings following the promulgation of Ordinance No. 06-01 on the implementation of the Charter for Peace and National Reconciliation.
