39. The Council of Europe Convention on the Protection of Children against Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Abuse was signed in 2007 and entered into force on 1 April 2012.
39- ووقعت تركيا في عام 2007 على اتفاقية مجلس أوروبا المتعلقة بحماية الأطفال من الاستغلال الجنسي والاعتداء الجنسي التي دخلت حيز النفاذ في 1 نيسان/أبريل 2012.

It is in this spirit that, last October, our country, after joining similar United Nations instruments, acceded to the Council of Europe Convention on the Protection of Children against Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Abuse.

The July 2007 adoption of the Council of Europe Convention on the Protection of Children against Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Abuse was a major step forward in the prevention of sexual offences against children, prosecution of perpetrators of such crimes and protection of victims.

94. The instrument of ratification of the Council of Europe Convention on the Protection of Children against Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Abuse, signed in Lanzarote, Spain, on 25 October 2007, has also been approved. It entered into force in Spain on 1 December 2010.
94 - وجرى أيضا الموافقة على صك التصديق على اتفاقية مجلس أوروبا المتعلقة بحماية الأطفال من الاستغلال الجنسي والاعتداء الجنسي الموقعة في لانساروت بإسبانيا، في 25 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 2007 وقد دخلت هذه الاتفاقية حيّز النفاذ في إسبانيا في 1 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2010.

The amendment of the CC brought the Polish law in line with the Council of Europe Convention on the Protection of Children against Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Abuse (Lanzarote Convention).

Ms. Kugot (Ukraine) urged Member States that had not yet done so to accede to and implement such children's rights instruments as the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the three Optional Protocols thereto and the Council of Europe Conventions on the Protection of Children against Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Abuse, Action against Trafficking in Human Beings and Cybercrime.

The Council of Europe Convention on the Protection of Children against Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Abuse is the first treaty to address children's protection from sexual violence in the face of challenges presented by technological developments, and to identify as an offence the solicitation of children for sexual purposes through ICTs, often known as " grooming " .
وتعتبر اتفاقية مجلس أوروبا المتعلقة بحماية الأطفال من الاستغلال الجنسي والاعتداء الجنسي أول معاهدة تتصدى لحماية الأطفال من العنف الجنسي في مواجهة التحديات التي تفرضها التطورات التكنولوجية، وتُحَدِد، كجريمة، استدراج الأطفال لأغراض الاستغلال الجنسي من خلال تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات، والذي يعرف أحيانا كثيرة بأنه " الاستمالة " .

21. The Committee welcomes the signing in 2007 of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Sports and OSCE for promoting the Code of Conduct to Protect Children from Sexual Exploitation in tourism, in 2007, that a number of enterprises have signed the Code and that a national awareness campaign at border-crossings and a campaign targeting tour operators, were organized.
21- ترحب اللجنة بالتوقيع، في عام 2007، على مذكرة التفاهم بين وزارة الداخلية ووزارة السياحة والثقافة والشباب والرياضة، ومنظمة الأمن والتعاون في أوروبا لتعزيز مدونة السلوك الخاصة بحماية الأطفال من الاستغلال الجنسي في السياحة في 2007، وبتوقيع عدد من المؤسسات على المدونة، وبتنظيم حملة توعية وطنية عند المعابر الحدودية وحملة تستهدف شركات تنظيم الرحلات.

14. Initiatives taken over the year to fight child sex tourism also deserve to be highlighted, such as the Task Force to Protect Children from Sexual Exploitation in Tourism, a global action platform composed of tourism-related actors, which hosted its 20th consultative meeting of 2007 together with the Berlin International Tourism Fair in March 2007.
14- ويجدر أيضاً إلقاء الأضواء على المبادرات المتخذة خلال العام لمكافحة السياحة الجنسية التي تستهدف الأطفال، كفرقة العمل المعنية بحماية الأطفال من الاستغلال الجنسي في السياحة، التي تشكل برنامج عمل عالمياً يجمع أطرافاً فاعلة في قطاع السياحة، والتي عقدت اجتماعها الاستشاري العشرين لعام 2007 خلال تنظيم معرض برلين السياحي الدولي في آذار/مارس 2007.

(18) While welcoming the efforts made to implement the Code of Conduct for the Protection of Children from Sexual Exploitation in Travel and Tourism and the strengthening of extraterritorial legislation by the Criminal Law Amendment Act 2004 for sexual offences committed abroad by Austrian citizens, the Committee is concerned that sex tourism by Austrian citizens continues to be a problem.
