81. Since the ratification of The Hague Convention on the Protection of Children and Cooperation in Respect of Inter Country Adoption in 2008, work has been carried out to domesticate its provisions.

The Committee further recommends that the State party accede to the 1993 Hague Convention on Protection of Children and Cooperation in respect of Intercountry Adoption.

It also encourages the State party to ensure that adoption is carried out in conformity with article 21 of the Convention and to ratify the Hague Convention on the Protection of Children and Cooperation in Respect of Intercountry Adoption of 1993.
