With regard to the evaluation of UNCTAD's programme on science and technology for development, several delegates expressed support for the evaluators' recommendation that the intergovernmental machinery framework be reconsidered, with a view to ensuring that issues related to science and technology for development, such as the transfer of technology, could be adequately addressed in an appropriate forum.
