36. In accordance with the fifth Regional Conference, the Regional Programme of Action for Women of Latin America and the Caribbean, 1995-2001, has been initiated.
٣٦ - ووفقا لما قرره المؤتمر اﻹقليمي الخامس، بدأ تنفيذ برنامج العمل اﻹقليمي للمرأة في أمريكا اللاتينية ومنطقة البحر الكاريبي، ١٩٩٥-٢٠٠١.

14. The Regional Programme of Action for the Women of Latin America and the Caribbean, 1995-2001 states:
١٤ - وينص برنامج العمل اﻹقليمي للمرأة في أمريكا اللاتينية ومنطقة البحر الكاريبي، ١٩٩٥-٢٠٠١، على ما يلي:

166. ECLAC’s follow-up activities to the Beijing Conference are aimed at the implementation both of the Regional Programme of Action for the Women of Latin America and the Caribbean, 1995-2001 and of the Platform for Action.
١٦٦ - وتهدف اﻷنشطة التي اضطلعت بها اللجنة لمتابعة مؤتمر بيجين إلى تنفيذ برنامج العمل اﻹقليمي للمرأة في أمريكا اللاتينية ومنطقة البحر الكاريبي، ١٩٩٥-٢٠٠١ ومنهاج عمل بيجين.

62. The Regional Programme of Action for the Women of Latin America and the Caribbean, 1995-2001, was adopted by consensus at the sixth regional conference.
٦٢ - اعتمد بتوافق اﻵراء في المؤتمر اﻹقليمي السادس برنامج العمل اﻹقليمي للمرأة في أمريكا اللاتينية ومنطقة البحر الكاريبي، ١٩٩٥ - ٢٠٠١.

68. ECLAC acts as the technical secretariat of member countries for the implementation of the Regional Programme of Action for the Women of Latin America and the Caribbean, 1995-2001, whose approval was confirmed by ECLAC at its twenty-sixth session.
٦٨ - وتعمل اللجنة الاقتصادية ﻷمريكا اللاتينية ومنطقة البحر الكاريبي بمثابة أمانة فنية للبلدان اﻷعضاء في تنفيذ برنامج العمل اﻹقليمي للمرأة في أمريكا اللاتينية ومنطقة البحر الكاريبي ١٩٩٥-٢٠٠١، الذي أكدت اللجنة اعتماده في دورتها السادسة والعشرين.

The Unit for the Integration of Women in Development will be monitoring progress achieved in the implementation of the Regional Programme of Action for the Women of Latin America and the Caribbean, 1995-2000, particularly those strategic actions aimed at substantially improving the conditions of the poor and at improving the quality of life of women, especially those in the poorest groups.
وستتولى وحدة إدماج المرأة في التنمية رصد ما تحقق من تقدم في تنفيذ برنامج العمل اﻹقليمي للمرأة في أمريكا اللاتينية ومنطقة البحر الكاريبي، ١٩٩٥ - ٢٠٠٠، وبوجه خاص اﻹجراءات الاستراتيجية الموجهة نحو إدخال تحسين كبير على أحوال الفقراء، وتحسين نوعية حياة النساء، لا سيما المنتميات إلى أشد الفئات فقرا.

Women’s participation is also being promoted through the implementation of the Regional Programme of Action for the Women of Latin America and the Caribbean, 1995–2001, adopted at the sixth session of the Regional Conference, held in Mar del Plata, Argentina, in September 1994.
ويجري كذلك تعزيز مشاركة المرأة من خلال تنفيذ برنامج العمل اﻹقليمي للمرأة في أمريكا اللايتينة ومنطقة البحر الكاريبي، ٥٩٩١-١٠٠٢، الذي اعتمد في الدورة السادسة للمؤتمر اﻹقليمي، التي عقدت في مار دل بلاتا، اﻷرجنتين، في أيلول/سبتمبر ٤٩٩١.

150. Activities related to the integration of women into development focused especially on preparations for the regional conference on this subject, to be held in 1994, and on the drafting of the Regional Programme of Action for the Women of Latin America and the Caribbean, to be considered at the conference.
٠٥١ - أما اﻷنشطة المتعلقة بدمج المرأة في التنمية فقد ركزت بصفة خاصة على اﻷعمال التحضيرية للمؤتمر اﻹقليمي المعني بهذا الموضوع، المقرر عقده عام ١٩٩٤، وعلى صياغة برنامج العمل اﻹقليمي للمرأة في أمريكا اللاتينية ومنطقة البحر الكاريبي، الذي سينظر فيه أثناء المؤتمر.

30. ECLAC acts as the technical secretariat of the member countries for the implementation of the Regional Programme of Action for the Women of Latin America and the Caribbean, 1995-2001, whose approval was confirmed at the twenty-sixth session of the Commission held at San José from 15 to 20 April 1996, and which constituted an input for the Beijing Platform for Action.
٣٠ - تعمل اللجنة الاقتصادية ﻷمريكا اللاتينية ومنطقة البحر الكاريبي كأمانة فنية للبلدان اﻷعضاء بالنسبة لتنفيذ برنامج العمل اﻹقليمي للمرأة في أمريكا اللاتينية ومنطقة البحر الكاريبي، ١٩٩٥-٢٠٠١، الذي أكدت اللجنــة موافقتها عليــه فــي دورتها السادسة والعشرين المعقودة في سان خوسيه في الفترة من ١٥ إلى ٢٠ نيسان/أبريل ١٩٩٦ والذي كان مدخلا من مدخلات منهاج عمل بيجين.

It approved the work programme for the biennium 2000-2001 (resolution 566 (XXVII)), the calendar of conferences for the period 1998-2000 (resolution 567 (XXVII)) and the follow-up to the Regional Programme of Action for the Women of Latin America and the Caribbean, 1995-2001 (resolution 568 (XXVII)).

Those concerns were reflected in the Regional Programme of Action for the Women of Latin America and the Caribbean 1995-2001 adopted by the regional preparatory meeting held recently in Argentina. The Programme recognized that structural inequalities between men and women persisted in the region and that educational systems perpetuated gender stereotypes.
وذكر أن هذه هي الشواغل التي تضمنها برنامج العمل اﻹقليمي للمرأة في أمريكا اللاتينية ومنطقة الكاريبي ١٩٩٥-٢٠٠١ الذي أقره الاجتماع التحضيري اﻹقليمي الذي عقد منذ عهد قريب في اﻷرجنتين، وأضاف أن برنامج العمل سلم بأن المنطقة لا تزال تعاني من ضروب اﻹجحاف المتأصل بين الرجل والمرأة، وبأن نظم التعليم لا تزال تروج المفاهيم النمطية للفوارق بين الجنسين.

ECLAC has also published a book entitled Gender Indicators for Follow-up and Evaluation of the Regional Programme of Action for Women of Latin America and the Caribbean, 1995–2001, and the Beijing Platform for Action.
ونشرت اللجنة أيضا كتابا عنوانه " المؤشرات النسائية المستخدمة في متابعة وتقييم برنامج العمل اﻹقليمي للمرأة في أمريكا اللاتينية ومنطقة البحر الكاريبي، ١٩٩٥-٢٠٠١، ومنهاج عمل بيجين " .

57. Under the Regional Programme of Action for Women in Agriculture in the Near East, support for the preparation of sectoral reports on women in agriculture and rural development was provided to 17 countries: Cyprus, Egypt, Iran (Islamic Republic of), Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Pakistan, Somalia, Sudan, Syrian Arab Republic, Tunisia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and Yemen.
٥٧ - وفي إطار برنامج العمل اﻹقليمي للمرأة في الزراعة في منطقة الشرق اﻷدنى، تم تقديم الدعم ﻹعداد تقارير قطاعية عن المرأة في الزراعة والتنمية الريفية ﻟ ١٧ بلدا هي: اﻷردن واﻹمارات العربية المتحدة وجمهورية إيران اﻹسلامية وباكستان وتركيا وتونس والجمهورية العربية السورية والسودان والصومال والعراق وعمان وقبرص ولبنان ومصر والمغرب وموريتانيا واليمن.
