3. The LDC Fund was set up to fund the LDC work programme.

In decision 5/CP.7 Annex II Parties are invited to contribute financially to the LDC work programme.

One of the important aspects of the PoA for LDCs is that it recognizes that the series of commitments and actions which it listed should be implemented as part of overall national development policies and strategies.
35- إن أحد الجوانب المهمة في برنامج العمل لصالح أقل البلدان نمواً اعترافه بضرورة تنفيذ ما ورد به من التزامات وإجراءات كجزء من استراتيجيات وسياسات شاملة للتنمية الوطنية.

He noted that it was now extremely important to move towards implementation of the Programme of Action for the LDCs, the Doha Development Agenda, and the Monterrey Consensus on Financing for Development.
