21. At the conclusion of the workshop, member States adopted a declaration on human rights education in central Africa.

Finally, international cooperation in human rights education must be further strengthened.

The participants formulated several recommendations, including the integration of human rights education into national policies and legislation, the dissemination of the United Nations action plan on human rights education and the enhancement of the effectiveness of human rights education in primary and secondary schools.
