17. The Commission on Human Rights and the Human Rights Council requested the Special Rapporteur on extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions to monitor the implementation of existing international standards on safeguards and restrictions relating to the imposition of capital punishment.
17- وطلبت لجنة حقوق الإنسان ومجلس حقوق الإنسان إلى المقرر الخاص المعني بحالات الإعدام خارج نطاق القضاء، أو بإجراءات موجزة أو تعسفاً، أن يرصد تنفيذ المعايير الدولية القائمة حالياً بشأن الضمانات والقيود المتعلقة بإنزال عقوبة الإعدام.

The visit was prompted by a number of reports over the years citing allegations of extrajudicial executions by Jamaican security and police forces as well as by information received regarding Jamaica and the international standards on safeguards and restrictions relating to the imposition of capital punishment.
وقد جاءت هذه الزيارة نتيجة لتقديم عدد من التقارير على مر السنين تتضمن ادعاءات بحالات إعدام خارج نطاق القضاء على أيدي قوات أمن وشرطة جامايكا فضلاً عن تلقي معلومات بصدد جامايكا والمعايير الدولية بشأن الضمانات والقيود المتعلقة بتوقيع عقوبة الإعدام.

Requests the Special Rapporteur to continue monitoring the implementation of existing international standards on safeguards and restrictions relating to the imposition of capital punishment, bearing in mind the comments made by the Human Rights Committee in its interpretation of article 6 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, as well as the Second Optional Protocol thereto;

In the same resolution, the Commission also requested the Special Rapporteur to continue monitoring the implementation of existing standards on safeguards and restrictions relating to the imposition of capital punishment (para. 10).

30. As in previous years, the Special Rapporteur on extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions continued to monitor the implementation of existing international standards on safeguards and restrictions relating to the imposition of capital punishment.
30- وواصلت المقررة الخاصة المعنية بعمليات الإعدام خارج نطاق القضاء والإعدام بإجراءات موجزة والإعدام التعسفي، مثلما فعلت في السنوات السابقة، رصد تنفيذ المعايير الدولية القائمة حالياً بشأن الضمانات والقيود المتعلقة بفرض عقوبة الإعدام.

24. The Commission on Human Rights has consistently requested the Special Rapporteur on extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions to monitor the implementation of existing international standards on safeguards and restrictions relating to the imposition of capital punishment.
24- ودأبت لجنة حقوق الإنسان على الطلب إلى المقررة الخاصة المعنية بالإعدام خارج نطاق القضاء والإعدام بإجراءات موجزة والإعدام التعسفي أن تقوم برصد تنفيذ المعايير الدولية القائمة حالياً بشأن الضمانات والقيود المتعلقة بإنزال عقوبة الإعدام.
