XIV. Resolution 2005/47 on the human rights of migrants

Taking note of Commission on Human Rights resolution 2000/48 of 25 April 2000, on the human rights of migrants,
وإذ تحيط علما بقرار لجنة حقوق الإنسان 2000/48 المؤرخ 25 نيسان/أبريل 2000 بشأن حقوق الإنسان للمهاجرين()،

It adopted resolution 2003/46, on the " Human rights of migrants " as well as resolution 2003/48, on the " International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families " acknowledging with appreciation the entry into force of the Convention.
فقد اتخذت اللجنة القرار 2003/46 بشأن " حقوق الإنسان للمهاجرين " والقرار 2003/48 بشأن " الاتفاقية الدولية لحماية حقوق جميع العمال المهاجرين وأفراد أسرهم " ، مُقِّرة مع التقدير بدء سريان الاتفاقية.

87. At its 7th meeting, on 17 September 2009, the Council, pursuant to its resolution 11/9, held a panel discussion on the human rights of migrants in detention centres.
87- في الجلسة السابعة المعقودة في 17 أيلول/سبتمبر 2009، عقـد المجلس، عملاً بقراره 11/9، حلقة نقاش بشأن حقوق الإنسان للمهاجرين المودعين في مراكز احتجاز.

In 2009, the Office co-hosted a panel discussion on migration, discrimination and economic, social and cultural rights, together with ILO, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and actively participated in the IOM Executive Committee panels on the human rights of migrants.

The Special Rapporteur also acknowledges the important work carried out by the working group of intergovernmental experts on the human rights of migrants in giving an overall picture of the phenomenon of migration and in identifying the main obstacles to the full protection of the human rights of migrants.

Mr. Crépeau (Special Rapporteur on the human rights of migrants), introducing his report on the human rights of migrants (A/69/302), said that migrants had to be included in the post-2015 sustainable development goals, but not only in their capacity to contribute to development or in the context of the reduction of the cost of labour or remittances.

وثمة حاجة إلى زيادة الوعي العام بشأن حقوق الإنسان للمهاجرين وما يقدمونه من إسهامات من خلال عملهم ومهاراتهم ومعارفهم وأفكارهم وقيمهم.

78. The Special Rapporteur encourages strengthened follow-up to the recommendations of special procedures and treaty bodies concerning the human rights of migrants at the national and international levels.
