In 2009, the organization launched a campaign to oppose the Human Rights Council resolution on combating defamation of religions, writing to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) and the Human Rights Council in that regard.

This report of the High Commissioner for Human Rights is submitted in accordance with Commission on Human Rights resolution 2002/9 on combating defamation of religions.

1. In its resolution 10/22 on combating defamation of religions of 26 March 2009, the Human Rights Council (hereafter " the Council " ) expressed deep concern over the negative stereotyping of religions and manifestations of discrimination in matters of religion or belief.
