Proceeding from the provision of article 1 of the Basic Agreement on the Region of Eastern Slavonia, Baranja and Western Sirmium and the conclusions of the Regional Assembly, the following request is submitted.
يُقدم الطلب التالي إنطلاقا من أحكام المادة ١ من اﻹتفاق اﻷساسي بشأن منطقة سلافونيا الشرقية وبارانيا وسيرميوم الغربية والاستنتاجات التي توصلت إليها الجمعية التشريعية اﻹقليمية.

A basic agreement on the Region of Eastern Slavonia, Baranja, and Western Sirmium had been signed on 12 November 1995 to provide for the peaceful integration into Croatia of the region known as Sector East.
ففي ١٢ تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر ١٩٩٥، جرى التوقيع على اتفاق أساسي بشأن منطقة سلافونيا الشرقية وبارانيا وسرميوم الغربية يهدف الى إدماج المنطقة المعروفة بالقطاع الشرقي سلميا في كرواتيا.

29. The basic agreement on the Region of Eastern Slavonia, Baranja, and Western Sirmium, signed on 12 November 1995, is a landmark accomplishment that provides for the peaceful integration into Croatia of the region known as Sector East.
٢٩ - إن الاتفاق اﻷساسي بشأن منطقة سلافونيا الشرقية وبارانيا وسرميوم الغربية، الذي وقع في ١٢ تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر ١٩٩٥، إنجاز أساسي يتيح إدماج المنطقة المعروفة بالقطاع الشرقي إدماجا سلميا في كرواتيا.

8. The Joint Council of Municipalities, established under the basic agreement on the Region of Eastern Slavonia, Baranja and Western Sirmium (S/1995/951, annex), is on the brink of collapse.

12. On 12 November 1995, the Basic Agreement on the Region of Eastern Slavonia, Baranja and Western Sirmium (A/50/757-S/1995/951, annex) was signed.

73. On 12 November 1995, the Republic of Croatia and the de facto Serb authorities in the Eastern Slavonia region of Croatia signed the Basic Agreement on the Region of Eastern Slavonia, Baranja and Western Sirmium, providing for the peaceful reintegration of the region into Croatia within a one- to two-year period.
٣٧- في ٢١ تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر ٥٩٩١ وقﱠعت جمهورية كرواتيا والسلطات الصربية الفعلية في منطقة سلافونيا الشرقية من كرواتيا اتفاقا أساسيا بشأن منطقة سلافونيا الشرقية وبارانيا وسرميوم الغربية ينص على إعادة ادماج المنطقة سلمياً في كرواتيا خلال فترة تتراوح من سنة الى سنتين.

The efforts of the Co-Chairmen continued during October and November and culminated with the signing, on 12 November, of a Basic Agreement on the Region of Eastern Slavonia, Baranja, and Western Sirmium (S/1995/951).

Similarly, the Basic Agreement on the Region of Eastern Slavonia, Baranja and Western Sirmium of 12 November 1995 (S/1995/951, annex), has offered fresh hope that peaceful reintegration of the region into Croatia may be achieved.
كذلك فإن الاتفاق اﻷساسي بشأن منطقة سلافونيا الشرقية وبارانيا وسرميوم الغربية المؤرخ ١٢ تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر ١٩٩٥ S/1995/951)، المرفق(، قد بعث أملا جديدا في أن يتحقق إعادة إدماج المنطقة في كرواتيا بطريقة سلمية.

2. On 12 November 1995, the Basic Agreement on the Region of Eastern Slavonia, Baranja and Western Sirmium (A/50/757-S/1995/951, annex) was signed.

It reminds the Croatian Government once again that the promotion of strict respect for the rights of persons belonging to the Serb minority is relevant to the successful implementation of the Basic Agreement of 12 November 1995 on the Region of Eastern Slavonia, Baranja and Western Sirmium (S/1995/951, annex).

“The Security Council calls upon the parties to comply strictly with their obligations under the Basic Agreement of 12 November 1995 on the Region of Eastern Slavonia, Baranja and Western Sirmium (S/1995/951, annex) and to cooperate fully with the Transitional Administration.

74. Mr. VERDIER (Argentina) said that the signing of the basic agreement on the Region of Eastern Slavonia, Baranja and Western Sirmium and the initialling of the general framework agreement by the Presidents of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Serbia marked the beginning of a new phase in the search for peace in the former Yugoslavia.
