١ - يقدم هذا التقرير عملا بالفقرة ١٢ من قرار الجمعية العامة ٥٠/٨٨ باء المؤرخ ١٩ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ١٩٩٥، الذي طلبت فيه الجمعية العامة من اﻷمين العام أن يقدم إليها كل ثلاثة أشهر خلال دورتها الخمسين تقريرا عن التقدم المحرز في أعمال بعثة اﻷمم المتحدة الخاصة إلى أفغانستان.

76. In the months to come, I will be looking to UNSMA and to all United Nations funds and programmes, in particular UNOCHA, to further strengthen their coordination in the context of the strategic framework for Afghanistan, a process which I follow with great interest.
