5. Reiterates its firm support for the mission of good offices of the Secretary-General in order to assist the parties in complying with the request made by the General Assembly in its resolutions on the question of the Falkland Islands (Malvinas);
٥ - تكرر اﻹعراب عن تأييدها الراسخ لمهمة المساعي الحميدة التي يضطلع بها اﻷمين العام بقصد مساعدة الطرفين في الامتثال لما طلبته الجمعية العامة في قراراتها المتعلقة بمسألة جزر فوكلاند )مالفيناس(؛

What is more, in 1985 the General Assembly expressly ruled out the applicability of the principle of self-determination when it rejected, by a wide margin, two British proposals seeking to incorporate that principle into the specific draft resolution on the question of the Malvinas Islands.
ويضاف إلى ذلك، أن الجمعية العامة استبعدت في عام 1985 بصريح العبارة انطباق مبدأ تقرير المصير، عندما رفضت بأغلبية كبيرة، اقتراحين بريطانيين بإدراج هذا المبدأ في مشروع القرار الخاص بمسألة جزر فوكلاند.
