Solemnly proclaims these Norms on the responsibilities of transnational corporations and other Business Enterprises with Regard to Human Rights and urges that every effort be made so that they become generally known and respected.

All Governments have a duty to regulate transnational corporations to protect people from potential human rights abuses, including through the implementation of the Norms on the responsibilities of transnational corporations and other Business Enterprises with Regard to Human Rights;
