The General Assembly, in its resolution 62/252, requested the Secretary-General to submit an update of his report on the review of the methodology for rates of reimbursement to troop-contributing countries, including the arrangements for recreational leave allowance, for its consideration at the second part of its resumed sixty-third session.

69. The adoption of General Assembly resolution 67/261, in which the Assembly requested the Secretary-General to ensure the implementation of a set of provisions regarding the rates of reimbursement to troop-contributing countries and related issues, has highlighted the importance of the reimbursement framework and its role in enhancing the effectiveness of United Nations peacekeeping and the peacekeeping partnership.
69 - ويُبرز اتخاذ قرار الجمعية العامة 67/261، الذي طلبت فيه الجمعية إلى الأمين العام أن يكفل تنفيذ مجموعة من الأحكام المتعلقة بمعدلات سداد التكاليف للبلدان المساهمة بقوات ومسائل أخرى تتصل بالموضوع، أهمية إطار سداد التكاليف ودوره في تعزيز فعالية أنشطة حفظ السلام التي تضطلع بها الأمم المتحدة والشراكة في مجال حفظ السلام.

46. With respect to the report on the methodology for rates of reimbursement to troop-contributing countries (A/63/697), the Advisory Committee requested that the General Assembly should be provided with a mock-up of the application of the formula proposed, in order to facilitate its consideration of that important issue.
