٣٥ - وفيما يتعلق بمهمة المساعي الحميدة التي اضطلع بها، اشترك ممثلي خلال اﻷشهر اﻷخيرة في عملية مشاورات مكثفة، بغية تمهيد السبيل ﻹجراء محادثات مباشرة بين زعيمي الطائفتين.

To that end, we request that you renew your efforts, pursuant to the mission of good offices entrusted to you by the General Assembly through successive resolutions, to bring about the resumption of negotiations in order to find a peaceful solution to this dispute as soon as possible.

I therefore recommend that the Security Council extend the mandate of UNMIL for one year, until 30 September 2015, while supplementing the political role played by my Special Representative with an explicit good offices mandate, which would focus on facilitating national reconciliation and political reform, and an environment conducive to peaceful and transparent elections, which includes due attention to the rule of law.
ولهذا، أوصي بأن يمدد مجلس الأمن ولاية البعثة لمدة عام واحد، أي حتى 30 أيلول/سبتمبر 2015، إلى جانب تكميل الدور السياسي الذي تقوم به ممثلتي الخاصة بتكليف صريح بالاضطلاع بمهمة المساعي الحميدة التي ستركز على تيسير المصالحة الوطنية والإصلاح السياسي، وتهيئة بيئة تساعد على إجراء انتخابات سلمية وشفافة مع إيلاء العناية الواجبة لسيادة القانون.
