The Conference further reaffirms that all nuclear weapons must be eliminated from the face of the earth in the spirit of the preamble of the Treaty.]* The Conference recalls that under the provisions of article VI each of the parties undertakes to pursue negotiations in good faith on effective measures relating to:
ويؤكـد لمؤتمر مجددا كذلك ضرورة القضاء على جميع اﻷسلحة النووية من على وجه اﻷرض انطلاقا من روح ديباجة المعاهدة[*. ويشير المؤتمر إلى أن أحكام المادة السادسة تقضي بأن تتعهد كل دولة من الدول اﻷطراف بمواصلة إجراء المفاوضات اللازمة بحسن نية عن التدابير الفعالة المتعلقة ﺑ:

" تتعهد كل دولة من الدول الأطراف في المعاهدة بمواصلة إجراء المفاوضات اللازمة بحسن نية عن التدابير الفعالة المتعلقة بوقف سباق التسلح النووي في موعد قريب، وبنـزع السلاح النووي، وعن إبرام معاهدة بشأن نزع السلاح العام الكامل في ظل مراقبة دولية شديدة وفعالة " .

فبموجب تلك المادة وكي نستشهد بها بشكل دقيق: " تتعهد كل دولة من الدول اﻷطراف في المعاهدة بمواصلة إجراء المفاوضات اللازمة بحسن نية عن التدابير الفعالة المتعلقة بوقف سباق التسلح النووي في موعد قريب، وبنزع السلاح النووي، وعن معاهدة بشأن نزع السلاح العام الكامل في ظل مراقبة دولية شديدة فعالة " .

8. Article VI of the Treaty is clear concerning the achievement of nuclear disarmament, specifying that " Each of the Parties to the Treaty undertakes to pursue negotiations in good faith on effective measures relating to cessation of the nuclear arms race at an early date and to nuclear disarmament, and on a treaty on general and complete disarmament under strict and effective international control " .
8 - وتتسم المادة السادسة من المعاهدة بوضوحها فيما يتعلق ببلوغ هدف نزع السلاح حيث أنها تنص على أن ' ' تتعهد كل دولة من الدول الأطراف بمواصلة إجراء المفاوضات اللازمة بحسن نية عن التدابير الفعالة المتعلقة بوقف سباق التسلح النووي في موعد قريب وبنزع السلاح النووي، وعن معاهدة بشأن نزع السلاح العام الكامل في ظل مراقبة دولية صارمة وفعالة``.

We shall go on demanding compliance by all States parties with article VI of the NonProliferation Treaty that enshrines the following commitment: " Each of the Parties to the Treaty undertakes to pursue negotiations in good faith on effective measures relating to cessation of the nuclear arms race at an early date and to nuclear disarmament. "
وسنواصل مطالبة جميع الدول الأطراف بالامتثال للمادة السادسة من معاهدة عدم الانتشار التي تؤكد الالتزام التالي: " يتعهد كل طرف من الأطراف في المعاهدة بمواصلة إجراء المفاوضات اللازمة بحسن نية بشأن التدابير الفعالة المتعلقة بوقف سباق التسلح النووي في موعد قريب وبنزع السلاح النووي " .

وتنص المادة السادسة على أنه " تتعهد كل دولة من الدول اﻷطراف في المعاهدة بمواصلة إجراء المفاوضات اللازمة بحسن نية عن التدابير الفعالة المتعلقة بوقف سباق التسلح النووي في موعد قريب وبنزع السلاح النووي ... " .
