For example, a requirement that the publication of information should be centralized and standardized might be justified for information required to be published under the Model Law, while for other types of information the same requirement might be onerous.

The use of the present tense in article 17 requires the foreign proceeding to be current or pending at the time of the recognition decision; if the proceeding for which recognition is sought is no longer current or pending in the originating State, there is no proceeding eligible for recognition under the Model Law.
وبالنظر إلى استخدام صيغة المضارع في المادة 17 يتعيّن أن يكون الإجراء الأجنبي جاريا أو عالقا في وقت اتخاذ قرار الاعتراف؛ فإذا لم يعد الإجراء الذي يراد الاعتراف به جاريا أو عالقا في الدولة التي استُهل فيها الإجراء، فلا يمكن الاعتراف به بموجب القانون النموذجي.

Some delegations had also been concerned that the model law might have some unforeseen legal effects. The provision would make it clear that recognition under the Model Law would only have the transparent effects set forth in that law.
