16. Background: At its sixteenth session, the COP established the Cancun Adaptation Framework, with the objective of enhancing action on adaptation, including through international cooperation and coherent consideration of matters relating to adaptation under the Convention.
16- الخلفية: أنشأ مؤتمر الأطراف، في دورته السادسة عشرة، إطار كانكون للتكيف، بهدف تعزيز إجراءات التكيف، بوسائل منها التعاون الدولي والنظر بشكل متسق في المسائل المتعلقة بالتكيف بموجب الاتفاقية.

As a result, the COP, by decision 1/CP.16, established the Cancun Adaptation Framework, with the objective of enhancing action on adaptation, including through international cooperation and coherent consideration of matters relating to adaptation under the Convention. Within this context, and by the same decision, the COP established the following components of the Cancun Adaptation Framework:
