The Attorney-General's Office opened an investigation for homicide against members of the Reveiz Pizarro Battalion for the execution of three trade unionists in Arauca (Arauca), in August, on grounds that the fight alleged to have occurred by the accused military personnel and other government authorities never took place, and that the trade unionists had been extrajudicially executed.

19. The General Assembly, in its resolution 54/154, requested, inter alia, the Special Rapporteur on the human rights of migrants, Ms. Gabriela Rodríguez Pizarro (Costa Rica), to undertake reviews and submit recommendations concerning the World Conference and its preparations to the Preparatory Committee, through the Secretary-General.
19- وطلبت الجمعية العامة في جملة أمور، في قرارها 54/154، إلى المقررة الخاصة المعنية بحقوق الإنسان للمهاجرين السيدة غابرييلا رودريغيس بيسارو (كوستاريكا)، إجراء استعراضات وتقديم توصيات بشأن المؤتمر العالمي والأعمال التحضيرية له إلى اللجنة التحضيرية، عن طريق الأمين العام.

4. The international legal framework for the Special Rapporteur's work and the methods of work were reviewed in this year's report to the Commission on Human Rights (E/CN.4/2006/73 and Add.1 and 2) and were largely based on the work carried out by the previous Special Rapporteur, Gabriela Rodríguez Pizarro (see E/CN.4/2001/83 and Add.1 and A/57/292).
