48. In the light of article 23 of the Convention and of its general comment No. 9 (2006) on the rights of children with disabilities, the Committee urges the State party to adopt a human rights-based approach to disability, and specifically recommends that it:

إذ تراعي اللجنة تقاطع الشؤون الإثنية والدينية في بعض الظروف، وإذ تأخذ بعين الاعتبار التوصية العامة للجنة رقم 25(2000) بشأن أبعاد التمييز العنصري المتعلقة بنوع الجنس، تحث اللجنة الدولةَ الطرف على اتخاذ التدابير اللازمة، ومنها التدابير التشريعية، لضمان المساواة في معاملة نساء مالايو وعدم التمييز ضدهن وذلك تماشياً مع الاتفاقية.
